Optometrist Dr. Debra Sorensen earned her degree in biology at Lewis University in Illinois in 1988, then received her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree in 1992 from the Illinois School of Optometry. Dr. Sorensen joined Kitsap Eye Physicians in 2011.
Dr. Sorensen performs routine eye exams which not only monitor the health of her patient's eyes, but can also provide prescriptions for corrective lenses. She specializes in contact lens exams. Dr. Sorensen also performs medical eye exams which are done regularly to monitor an ocular disease which has been diagnosed and provide intervention when needed. Her favorite part of the job is working with people and solving their problems.

- Optometric Physicians of Washington
Outside of the office, Dr. Sorensen has two children and volunteer with a local community theater where she has been in charge of costumes and costume design since 2009. All of that keeps her pretty busy when she's not at work.
